Abstract

This collection consists of costumes, apparel and memorabilia associated with Minnesota State University, Mankato and its predecessor institutions. The History Department Collection consists of items from the History Department at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The collection is made up of correspondence, reports, studies, annual budgets, and departmental records. The collection also covers the Northern Great Plains History Conference from the 1970s and 1992, and Committee meetings that addressed topics that arose within the History Department.

Home Economics 1951-1976

Abstract

The Home Economics program officially began at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1948, and continues to this day as Family Consumer Science (FCS). Since then the program has changed several different divisions/departments in the school, and has continued to educate students about the importance of Home Economics. The collection contains meeting minutes, program reviews, annual reports, and correspondences from the department.

Institutional Research is a collection of the reports and data compiled by Institutional Research to better understand the campus and student body. The data includes enrollment reports, degrees conferred, program reviews, accreditation material and different surveys and studies of departments on campus between 1921 and present. This collection also contains information gathered from outside of the university to help show the composition of the student body.

The KMSU Radio Collection is primarily made up of program guides, the Monitor, and newsletters, Airwaves, which were distributed to subscribers. The Monitor and Airwaves issues contain radio schedules, show descriptions, coming attractions, and often stories at the end or beginning about people or events on the radio. The collection also includes ads and other documents.
